Cuajao & Coffee Waterfall Table

Cuajao & Coffee!

Currently In Fabrication and available for purchase

________

Available for purchase, we currently have in fabrication this amazing Cuajao Live Edge Waterfall table. (See description of this species below).

This 14 foot long Cuajao slab was reclaimed from lake Bayano in Panamá. Having remained underwater for over 40 years, this slab is naturally immunized and indestructible! Imagine having a table in your home or office that has been underwater for over 40 years!!

We cut 35 inches off the end of this incredible slab to make the "waterfall" style leg. A "U" shaped stainless steel leg will be used to support the other end. With the end of the 14 foot slab transformed into the Waterfall style leg, the table has a complete length of 11 feet x 32 inches wide and the slab is 2.5 inches thick.

As you can see, there is a fairly large natural hole or gouge down the middle of the waterfall end which flows into the leg. As part of the very unique design of this incredible table, we are laser cutting a slightly shaded glass exactly to the shape of the naturally occurring hole. This glass will be installed into the tabletop approximately 1 inch wider than the area of the hole and will cover the trench, flush with the top of the table. This glass will also flow down to the floor. Inside the glass covered area, we will place roasted coffee beans so as to provide an incredible feature inside the table, seen from above. The coffee beans will also provide a delicious aroma each and every day. Every time this pieces new owner walks into their dining room, restaurant, beach house, boat or office, they will be greeted with a beautiful aroma of Panamanian coffee.

Cuajao wood (pronounced Kwahow) is generally yellowish brown, deep brown, olive green or olive brown color. It is a very heavy and moderately stable wood. It finishes to a smooth and highly polished finish. Kiln dried and flawless. Very durable.

Due to it's incredible durability and hardness, Cuajao wood is generally used in railroad ties, flooring, carpentry, furniture, veneer, plywood, and tool handles.
