Cedro Espino/Glass Table

Cedro Espino & Glass!

Currently In Fabrication and available for

purchase

________

Available for purchase, we currently have in fabrication this very unique, one of a kind, Cedro Espino Live Edge table. (See description of this species below).

This 8 foot long Cedro Espino slab was reclaimed from lake Bayano in Panamá. Having remained underwater for over 40 years, this slab is naturally immunized and indestructible! Imagine having a table in your home or office that has been underwater for over 40 years!!

We plan to add 1 additional foot of glass to this amazing slab making a table with a complete length of 9 feet x 40 inches wide and the slab is 2.25 inches thick.

As you can see, the slab has a very rare and unique shape which grabbed our attention. As part of the very unique design of this incredible table, we are laser cutting and tempering glass exactly to the shape of the narrow part of the slab. This glass will be installed onto the slab and will sit around the "arm" of the slab, extending the full width of the wood to complete the 9 foot length x 40" width and sit flush with the top of the wood.

We are still in the conceptual stage of this piece and the base is in design stage.

Cedro Espino wood (a type of Cedar) is pale pinkish or pinkish brown when freshly cut, becoming light to dark reddish brown as it dries.

It's a very light and stable wood, easy to saw, brush, turn, and to sand. Resistant to rotting.

Due to it's stability and ease of machining, Cedro Espino is generally used in construction, furniture, cabinets, wood veneer, window and door molds.
